Motorcycle Trails of The Kentucky Wildlands

The exciting motorcycle trails of The Kentucky Wildlands offer full-throttle thrills down breathtaking mountainside cuts, along pristine lakes and tree-lined backroads, across wide-open untamed countryside, and more.

Experience daring curves and gorgeous scenery down numerous mountainside roadway cuts, such as the Harlan County “Dragon Slayer HWY 160” featuring 20 miles of more than 225 significant curves. Take in majestic peaks and forests while snaking through valleys. And pull alongside free-flowing waterways, such as on the “Cave Run Lake Loop” beginning at Morehead in the Daniel Boone National Forest and arriving at the 8,000-acre clean-water Cave Run Lake. Also in the Daniel Boone National Forest is the Rattlesnake, which sports 150 turns in a 12-mile stretch of Hwy. 192 between London and Somerset.

Venture out for the beautiful road less taken, such as the “Red River & Nada Tunnel” scenic route into the expansive Red River Gorge Geological area. This unforgettable motorcycle trail features riverside hills and twists around numerous unique rock formations, natural spring water stop-offs (free freshwater drinks and fill ups), extended scenic cuts into Natural Bridge State Resort Park, and the renowned Nada Tunnel passageway, built in 1910 and on the National Register of Historical Places.
