Take a trip along the banks of the Salt River in Shepherdsville for one of the best tubing adventures in Kentucky. This family-owned hidden gem, dubbed the Awesome Lazy River, truly lives up to its name. Open weekends from mid-May to Labor day, this spot is great for a casual day out in the sun. Bring your own float or take your pick of rental tubes, from singles to doubles and even cooler tubes. Once you’re all set, head on down to begin your two-hour excursion on the river. A shuttle will be waiting for you at the end of the route to take you back to your car for more outdoor activities or another ride down the river.
